TVI Pacific Inc. (TVI) is a Canadian resource company focused on the acquisition and development of resource projects in the Asia Pacific region.
TVI management’s track record of success includes putting the first foreign-invested mine into production in the Philippines after the passage of the Philippine Mining Act of 1995. From 2004 to 2014, TVI produced 105,200 ounces of gold, 1.8 million ounces of silver, 199,778 tonnes of copper concentrate and 30,558 tonnes of zinc concentrate from the Canatuan mines to generate total revenues of US$478 million and net cash flows of US$180 million. These returns were attained with only US$79 million in total capital spending over the 10-year mining period, making TVI one of the most successful resource companies in the country.
Management successfully developed a third mine towards production in the Philippines before divesting control of its Philippine operating subsidiary, TVI Resource Development (Phils.) Inc. (TVIRD) in 2014. However, it maintains a 30.66% interest in TVIRD which has grown to become a significant resource company engaged in nickel laterite ore production and the development of the Balabag gold and silver mine.
As a seasoned mine operator, TVI is currently evaluating resource projects that it can advance into production quickly to generate revenues and cash flows.
